Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA)

Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) is the governmental institution responsible for the implementation of innovation policy in Lithuania. The Agency provides services free of charge for industry, academia, and governmental sectors that are willing to develop strong cooperation ties with international players and are interested in obtaining financial support for research and innovation projects. The main activity is the coordination of national activities and international programmes (HORIZON2020, EUREKA, EUROSTARS) concerning research, technological development and innovation and other financial schemes (innovation vouchers, protection of industrial property rights). MITA also promotes business and science cooperation, the commercialisation of research and the protection of intellectual property rights.
