Aerospace Valley
Aerospace Valley is the biggest European non-profit competitiveness cluster dedicated to aeronautics, space and embedded systems. The cluster covers two geographically adjacent regions in the south-west of France: Nouvelle Aquitaine and Occitanie. Aerospace Valley gathers 840 members from industry and research including, amongst others, 500 SMEs as well as large corporate groups and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), major aerospace research establishments, engineering schools and local authorities. The purpose of Aerospace Valley is to leverage the competitiveness and visibility of all its members, both on the national and international scene, and to foster the development of collaborative initiatives. It provides specific support to SMEs, helping them to take part in collaborative projects with industry leaders, investors, and research organisations. Aerospace Valley is currently managing the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre Sud France (ESA BIC Sud France).

CNES – CONNECT BY CNES
Since its inception in 1961, “the French Space Agency” CNES has been the public organisation responsible for elaborating and directing France’s space policy within Europe. With CONNECT by CNES, CNES puts its expertise at the service of companies, especially startups, to develop innovative products and services using space technologies and solutions. It invents space systems to meet the needs of tomorrow’s society in terms of environmental research and protection, telecommunications, security and defence, and the exploration of the universe. CNES masters the whole spectrum of space technologies, ensuring France and Europe have independent access to space. CNES is involved in numerous international joint projects, thereby elevating and promoting French space policy. The ESA BIC Sud France is an essential tool of the new intellectual property policy that CNES is currently preparing.

ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Sud France
ESA BIC Sud France is a business incubator that allows entrepreneurship to be promoted based on a technology transfer from the spatial domain to other domains and the development of services and applications from space technologies. Created in 2013, it is managed by Aerospace Valley in close cooperation with the SAFE cluster and the French Space Agency in Toulouse (CNES). The ESA BIC Sud France is run by structures that support the creation of innovative companies in Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrénées, Languedoc-Roussillon and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, including ESTIA Entreprendre, Bordeaux Technowest, CEEI Theogone, Midi-Pyrénées Incubator, PACA-Est Incubator and Montpellier Incubator. ESA BIC Sud France itself provides valuable tools to encourage entrepreneurs to promote and exploit existing space-related patents.
ESA BIC Nord France
ESA Business Incubation ESA BIC Nord France, created in 2018, is managed by Ouest BIC Technopoles in association with ASTech Paris Region Cluster and the French Space Agency (CNES). Its consortium includes incubator partners in six northern French regions (Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Normandy, Hauts-de-France, Ile-de-France, Grand Est): together, they provide access to a dense network of partners covering a broad spectrum of industrial, technical and financial skills. The objective is to promote the creation of companies based on the transfer of technologies from the space sector to other economic sectors and the development of services and applications derived from space technologies.

BIC Montpellier Mediterranée Métropole (M3M)
With over 25 years’ experience, the BIC Montpellier Mediterranée Métropole (M3M) is an incubator dedicated to startups with strong growth potential. A huge offer with innovative tools and services is provided to startups to help them grow in the best conditions. The BIC M3M is a pioneer of technological incubators in France and in Europe. Created in 1987, it has received several awards for its innovative tools and coaching programmes. For 2 years, BIC M3M has been in the TOP 10 of the very selective ranking of UBI Global as one of the best incubators in the world (4th).

Bordeaux Technowest
Bordeaux Technowest is a science and technology park founded in 1989 and a member of EBN. It manages an incubator that promotes innovative projects and supports the creation of startups in the field of aeronautics, defence and space. These startups are accompanied in their development. They are put in contact with major actors in the European aerospace industry, such as Dassault, Thales and EADS. Bordeaux Technowest also encourages technology transfer through patent exploitation. Bordeaux Technowest takes advantage of a favourable environment: more than 10,000 people work for aerospace industries within the metropolitan area of Bordeaux. The realisations are plenty: business and military aircraft, tailpipes of boosters for Ariane rockets, military missiles, propulsion systems for missiles and rockets, and embedded systems for aircraft, etc.

ESTIA Entreprendre
ESTIA Entreprendre manages an incubator devoted to technology-based activities, a BIC and a business hotel for innovative technology companies. Since 1999, it has contributed to creating 121 companies and more than 800 jobs. ESTIA Entreprendre, a member of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN), is a main component of Izarbel Technology Park and ESTIA engineering school. Its main activities are: software, computer science, robotics, embedded systems, energy, aeronautics, geo-localisation and navigation.

GUIDE
GUIDE is a geolocation testing laboratory. Its centre of excellence, resulting from a joint partnership of the key players in the French aerospace industry, aims to provide manufacturers and system integrators with the instrumentation, expertise and approvals necessary to address the most demanding markets in satellite navigation. GUIDE is specially equipped* to test the toughest GNSS solutions (hardware, algorithms, receivers, systems), either by simulation, by replay in the laboratory or live testing in real situations: urban areas, roads, rail, in the water, in the air.

Ouest BIC Technopoles
Ouest BIC Technopoles is an association which brings together 4 technopoles from the Brittany and Pays de la Loire regions: the Brest Iroise and Rennes Atalante technopoles in Brittany and the Atlanpole and Angers technopoles in Pays de la Loire. It also manages the ESA BIC Nord France programme.

Paca-Est Business Incubator
Paca-Est Business Incubator is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research for the French departments of Alpes-Maritimes and Var. Established in 2001, Paca-Est Incubator provides support for projects created in connection with French public research and offers tailored coaching, training and office facilities. Paca-Est Incubator has a broad scope and supports projects with a variety of themes, in any technological field. At the end of 2011, Paca-Est Incubator had registered 495 direct jobs created by the 96 companies it has supported.
