The Andalucía challenge has an objective to promote innovative business and technical ideas supported by satellite navigation systems. In this field, the organization will especially promote projects focus on smart city applications.
The top-three selected projects will be offered a complete 12-month incubation programme at one of the incubators of Universidad de Malaga, Promálaga or Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía (PTA) [Andalucia Technology Park].
This will include the following services:
In this way, the winners will receive start-up assistance to develop an early stage company, access to seed capital, training through a mentoring network, infrastructural support, and intensive consulting. The objective is to accompany the entrepreneurs through the maturation, financing, and implementation of the winning project.

The first-prize will be also granted with the travel and accommodation expenses to attend to the ESNC Awards Ceremony and the participation in the overall prize.
Andalucía is located in the Iberian Peninsula, being the southernmost point of Europe. Covering 87,268 km2, and having around 8,4 million inhabitants, Andalucía is the most populated region of Spain. University of Malaga (UMA)
The University of Malaga (UMA), founded in 1972, is a public institution responsible for the public service of higher education, through teaching, study and research having more than 2300 teaching positions and 39000 students. It has also a long history of collaboration with main international companies, particularly in the technological sector.
Together with the University of Seville, it forms the International Campus of Excellence (ICE) Andalucía TECH. The objective of Andalucía TECH is to promote excellence in education, research, knowledge transfer and in the campus environment. To do this, the ICE performs different actions in close cooperation with prestigious foreign research institutions and with the main regional economic development organisations. Andalucía TECH aspires to go beyond providing training in professional skills, but to form future community leaders of the society and the Andalusian economy; with a critical and entrepreneurial spirit. Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía (PTA)
